Introduction How does a person choose his career as he reaches adolescence? Is it based on the profession’s projected salary or simply popularity? As a middle aged man pursuing his second degree, I can state that based on experience, it would not be wise for anyone to utilize this criteria as the basis for a decision. There are so many factors that should to be considered such as employment growth, current job demand, and stability. The objective of this paper is to discuss in detail why Occupational Therapy Assistant is my program of choice.

The occupational therapy simply focuses on the fundamental elements of a person’s well being to include not just physical functionality, but also psychological and the “cognitive aspect” ("Occupational Therapy," n.d.). The temporary license is only valid for 3-4 months and no extensions are given. An OTA with a temporary license must take the exam within the 90-day period listed in the NBCOT Authoritation to Test (ATT) letter or else will lose this license when it expires.
