assignment will explain what occupational therapy is to a student interested in joining the programme. It will look at the core concepts, values and philosophy of the occupation and it will highlight some information relevant to a student.
Occupational therapy is a health profession that emerged in the early twentieth century before the Second World War. It was founded by people who were compassionate about patients in the long stay psychiatric institutions Creek (1998, p.vii). The founders believed that there is a link between occupation and health. They believed that the engagement in occupation is central and important to the maintenance and promotion of health.

UCAS is a United Kingdom independent charity whose main role is providing the application process for most British universities. For the MSc programme you will need to make a direct application to the university of your choice, the university will have details on the website explaining the application process. When applying through UCSA by filling in the application form and submitting your personal point, this when you have to opportunity to show your enthusiasm to your chosen profession. Once you have submitted your personal statement, if universities see a potential in you they will invite you for interviews. However not all universities does interviews for this program. The interview process varies between universities. the common ones are individual interviews where the individual gets the opportunity to verbally demonstrate tour your enthusiasm about the program. Group interviews were by you are put into a group with other candidates and you will be given tasks to do, there will be someone observing how you interact with others. Some university will ask you to do an English assessment just to see where you are at with your English. At the interview you will have the opportunity to ask questions. After the interviews the university will get back you through UCSA letting you know whether you got the place or not.
