In life everyone has journeys to travel filled with numerous obstacles. For those who have goals that they want to achieve, they will deal with extra obstacles throughout their journeys in the story worn path, Ms. Phoenix is one of these people. In order for her to accomplish her goals of obtaining the medicine, she had to travel though paths filled with numerous obstacles and endure many challenges.
In the beginning of the story, Ms. Phoenix had to endure the cold weather in order to arrive at the destination to receive the medicine. While Ms. Phoenix continued her journey she stumbled across a thorny bush. She thought the thorn bush was a pretty little bush instead, due to her bad vision. Sometimes when striving towards your goal in the beginning, one may tend to get tangled up, or come across something that may be beneficial towards the goal but that could set one back. Just because something seems good towards your goal doesn’t mean it is for the goal. There are plenty of traps to prevent you from reaching the goals. So illusions should be seen with caution. Along Ms. Phoenix’s journey she comes up on a log laid across a creek. Ms. Phoenix had to take a huge risk if she wanted to make it to her destination. Through her faith, determination, and strength, she made it through. In order to achieve a goal, sometimes it’s necessary to take a huge risks. It is important to get back up after a fall. There was a time along Ms. Phoenix journey were she had sat down and rested. Sometimes a break is needed to prevent burning out, achieving a goals, a break is, however it should be a short break and then keep going. Ms. Phoenix had to go through a barbed-wired fence. She had to crawl her way through to get to her destination. Every obstacle will be. Sometimes one has to fight through, give it one’s all, and get dirty. .
