Obstacles In Stephen Curry's Life

Stephen Curry is an incredible all around man. He is known for his remarkable shooting abilities. He can also be known off the court as a great man donating to charities. His story inspires young and learning students. This is his background, obstacles, recent life and what he has done for the community.

This is a bit of Steph's background. He was born in Akron, Ohio to Dell and Sonya Curry. His birth name is Wardell Stephen Curry II. He mostly grew up in Charlotte, Carolina. Dell played in the National Basketball Association, or NBA, at the time. He learned how to be great like he is today from his father. His mom was a volleyball player in college and she taught Steph basketball when Dell went on road trips. Wardell also has some nicknames today. These are Baby-Faced Assassin and Chef Curry.

During life, Curry had some obstacles in his way. Steph was an incredible basketball player in high school. Although he was great at the Charlotte Christian School, he was only lightly recruited by the tiny Davidson College nearby his home. He didn't have a big name for himself, but soon he

He started a fight against a very deadly disease: malaria. Curry announced just last year that he will continue the Three for Three challenge supporting the “United Nation's Foundation Nothing but Nets.” This challenge is that for every three Curry made during the 2016-2017 NBA season he said he would donate three “life-saving bed nets.” He held true to this and scored 324 three-point shots. This means that he donated 972 bed nets this past season. He and many other celebrities are all standing up for advertising fruits and vegetables. Over 2 billion dollars a year are spent on advertising food and beverages. Less than one percent of this is used on healthier foods. The first lady, Michelle Obama, started a couple programs to help this advertising. She got many important people in our society to help with
