There has been many difficult obstacles in my life were it could be hard for me to just talk about one thing. Not knowing where you would start can also be difficult. Never let situations bring you down. The beginning of my life was a rocket. It all started when my mom had my oldest sister on an accident and on September 18, 1997 I was born into this world, not knowing what it had in store for me. I was told when I came out of the womb my dad was not there due to him being incarcerated. When he finally met around one year old he then tried to build a relationship with me. After a while, I and my dad grew closer within that year. We did what most father and daughter would do. We watched movies, went out to eat, and played with one another. …show more content…
My mom was now on her fourth child and the man that I will soon be calling my step dad had finally proposed to my mom. I thought maybe this was a good thing because my mom was finally happy and we could finally become a family now. We had moved away from home to start a new life as a family. We grew a bond within the years. My dad had finally got out of prison and tried to have a relationship with me again; however it did not work out as he planned. I was happy where I was and I did not want someone to come in my life and leave me again, but most of all I was happy that I had a complete family. Eventually, I had loosing up tried to have a relationship with him again. I still had my connection with my step dad as well. As time passed by things started to unravel. My step dad had started being mean to me and my older sister after realizing that we were not his kids. When things started happening, my step dad and mom started falling out. When they started falling out it cause the following: they started fussing, we never went places anymore and he will make us do everything around the house that he was supposed to do. We had moved back home to my grandmother house until my mom could find us another house to live in. things had were starting to get better since we had move back and then one day my mom came in and told us that we would be moving to Florida by the end of the year. My mom was traveling back and forth from our hometown to Florida trying to get things situated. She finally had everything just about under control. She found a house by the beach with a great job she had just been offered too. As the year wined down I started thinking, “We will be moving to Florida soon”. My mom stayed in Florida for a week to get the house situated so we can just move right in. She did not tell my step dad that we were moving to Florida but somehow he had already knew. He had popped up at our house in Florida and gave my mom some flowers and some panties with the days of the week on them. My mom didn 't think anything of it so she ignores the gift. She continued getting things ready for us to come down to Florida. When the last day of the week came, this happens to be February 27, 2009. My mother was about to be on the way home to come get us to move to Florida and then there’s knock on my grandmothers door. It was a Police. He asked, "Is this the family of Renada Lucas"? He came in the house sat me and family down and then told us the news. "There has been and accident”. On my mother way to her car, she had an unpleasant surprise.
