These types of fans never jump on board with one specific team but they will cheer for whichever team is winning at the time. When sports analysis predicts who will win the Super Bowl or the World Series, these are the fans that are the first ones to say they are rooting for that specific team. The true sports fans despise these fans because they are the first ones in line at the sports stores to buy all the gear that they can grab even though they know they will only be wearing it one time. Obsessive fans cannot stand “band wagons” when it comes to sports. Now if you have never met anyone like this then you are pretty lucky but for me I lived with one for eighteen years! My younger brother is the perfect example of a band wagon fan. For instance, this year the National Basketball Association (NBA) leagues Most Valuable Player (MVP) Stephen Curry was the talk and the highight of the entire basketball season. He lead his team the Golden State Warriors to the league finals. Now my brother is supposedly a die-hard Miami Heat fan but ever since he heard about how Stephen Curry was becoming just as great as many basketball fans favorite player Michael Jordan he automatically jumped on what I would call the Stephen Curry “band wagon” and no matter what anyone said he thought no team was better than the Warriors and he was making bets that Stephen Curry would be the best player to ever play. Once the finals were over and the Warriors won my brother then went to being a Cleveland Caviliers fan because he heard that they would be winning this years NBA Final. The band wagon fans just jumo right on to any ride they can catch until they find one that they think is better. No one likes a band wagon because it is no way to be a sports fan in true fans
