1.7 Evidence Based Research Study Evidence based design makes it possible to design a classroom that can measurably improve children's development since it is the process of arriving at design guidelines through a series of researches and behaviour study. One of the most under recognised evaluation tools to use along with this research type is Observational Assessment. It has following advantages:
i. Non-intrusive i.e. does not overtake the privacy ii. Yields credible and instant information iii. Can be used in more than one settings. iv. Allows for capturing behaviour in natural settings.
Observational assessment provides a more opinionated result which is not obtained from other studies. It serves a number of purposes and functions
