Today I observed in room 105, I observed this class transition from one space to another, into an activity, as the children’s begin to leave the gym the teacher gave them a warning sign that their time is almost up, once time was up the teacher begin to sing the song “let’s go”, the children’s begin to clean up and put their toys and bikes away, after that the children all lined up on the wall, one little girl side “Ms. K I wont to count” and the teacher said “ok”, once everyone come over you can count, the child begin to count each one of her peers, once she finished she got back in line and reach for her peer hand, then the teacher said “ok children we are ready to go to our room, our friend has finished counting”, …show more content…
Y explained to me that the children are on a schedules and routines in her class, that everything around nap time pretty much happens the same time every day, the children eat lunch, after lunch they go potty and brush they teeth, after that they get they blankest and a book and go to their bed, there are three teaches in the classroom and eight children so the teachers go around to the children and read them a book, if other children has a little more difficult time going to sleep they are one on one with the teacher in the rocking chair with a book , all children get their back rub, all children beds are far apart from each other and in the view of each teacher eye. If a child has a specific item to sleep with on his/her bed, it is granted, but for infants nothing can bed in the crib with them. The toddlers are expected to sleep for a least two hours, the children are allowed to sleep longer. Children are expected to be monitored at all times, never left alone and always in the eyes of the teachers, at nap time always two teachers in the classroom. Parents are informed about all practices at open enrollment, classroom activities, home visits, parent teacher conference, and every school year when during a new enrollment
