Observation: The YMCA daycare program is very different from Hope. I went back and forth between the two classrooms with children from ages 2 to 4 and I even spent a bit of time in the infant room. I learned more about the different temperaments of the children and how to address them. In addition, I also saw how children three to four years of age did not know how to say what they wanted so they would hit and throw things. I would have to say the biggest thing that I learned today was figuring how to get a positive behavior and not to reinforce a negative behavior. An example of this is when a child screams to get attention and not reinforcing the behavior by giving them the attention. I did learn some new skills and reinforce some old ones
