Physical Therapy is the care and service given by and under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Observing physical therapy service, is more beneficial for going to be Physical Therapist Assistant in order to learn clinical expertise and way of communications with patients and physical therapy staff members. As per the Introduction to Physical Therapy course requirement, PTA students are required to observe both Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Therapy facility for total sixteen hours. On Tuesday, October 6, 2016, I got observation approval from Mrs. Petrash, PTA program instructor for both Inpatient and Outpatient sites of St. Luke’s Physical therapy. Luke’s North outpatient facility. As I was already excited about that facility, I was eager to visit it. When I reached to facility, it seemed big from outside. After entering through the door, my first word was, “Wow”. There were many departments in that building including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology treatment, neurological rehab, pediatric rehab, and other fitness related program. After consulting with receptionist, she directed me to the physical therapy department. It was a huge room equipped with all variety of physical therapy equipment. Among all those equipment, I observed low mat table, plinths, floor mats, mirrors, exercises bands and tubes, Swiss ball, dumbbells, cuff weights, stationary bicycle, upper body ergometer, treadmills, ultrasound device, steppers, and balance device such as BAPS board during patient treatment. The facility also had pool for aquatic therapy. Not only equipment but the staff of facility was also enormous. In addition to five physical therapist and more than ten physical therapist assistant, there were two occupational therapist also available on my observation day in same
