Introduction
In my research, I chose Hajime Restaurant in St. Cloud. I chose this restaurant because it is a bustling place that attracts people from all walks of life that wish to taste and have a feel of the rich Japanese culture on American soil. This rich, diverse culture is the object of my observation and what makes it interesting is the wide variety of people that I can observe. As one approaches the hotel, one is hit by an aroma of their famous Sushi. The restaurant is the best Sushi joint in town, and it attracts anyone willing to spend an extra buck to have the tasty meal.

Unlike most restaurants, the bill is given after one requests for it. They pay, and I realize they do not leave a tip which is a puzzle to me. The mother leads the kids out, and they walk off to their classic car that had been parked just within eye range.
Interpretation of Results
One of the most significant things noted is the relationship between culture and eating habits. Most people prefer eating what they are familiar with, and this would explain why my target group came to the place. As seen in the case above, the members knew what meals they wanted, are familiar with and also their ability to use the cutlery provided. This represents a familiar environment. They also feel comfortable and feel free to express themselves as those around them such as waiters can relate to them and their language use. There is also a notable role played by the parents on the eating habits of the children. These children will have very high levels of table manners as they are used to good behaviors during meals at a really early age such as not talking with the mouths full and etiquette after being served. The impact of parenting on eating habits not only impacts their diet but also how they will grow up to be in any social setting that involves eating
