Observation Of Cornerstone

Decent Essays
Everyone was present at our meeting today. We talked about how we were going to promote the event, and began working on a handout with all the benefits and requirements of being in Cornerstone. We also filled out a request form with student activities regarding the popcorn machine we wanted and ice. We also discussed additional details that we thought Mike Cintal would want to know.

The next subject we discussed was the idea of having snack days to promote Cornerstone in the commons. We would like to have a Halloween theme by giving out candy apples and popcorn balls. The information table would take place on Tuesday October 27th from 1-2pm in the commons. We will print handouts with all the Cornerstone information and distribute them.

Summary of Activities Outside of our meeting on Sunday October 8th, I spent an hour looking up registration letters online, just to see what other examples are available. I was amazed at how many different registration styles there were. I coordinated with my classmates on clip art for the registration letter and downloaded the sample my professor uploaded for us. I completed the letter and I believe it’s perfect. I can’t wait for everyone to see it also.…

Some of the skills that also contributed to the effectiveness of the group were Mayor Echterling’s focusing skills, which he used during the drug enforcement and road repair discussions to keep members from spending to much time on a subject or deviating too much from the conversation (Toseland and Rivas 2017). Eventually this skill was used to postpone the road discussion so that the meeting time could be used more effectively. Other skills used were also related to making an effective use of time and included clarifying content so that members could have productive conversations and making group processes explicit so that members knew how to interact within the parliamentary task group method. Both these skills and the bond of service that…

Today’s goal was to introduce me to the site, the people that work in my department, the resources available to workers, and current projects. My volunteer supervisor, Geraldine Baptist, showed me around the hospital, specifically where I would normally sign in and sign out, the cafeteria, and the Occupational/Physical therapy outpatient department. Upon arrival at the OT/PT department, Ms. Baptist introduced me to the front desk secretary, Mauracell, a sweet, openhearted young lady. Mauracell warm welcoming made me extremely comfortable, and all anxiety was put to ease. Mauracell showed me around the office and work center, then introduced me to each person present and gave me a description of what types of things they work on.…

Having looked back on my mid year performance review I can say that I have accomplished everything and more what I set out in my original Mid Year review. Since my last performance review I have managed to complete the project area on share point, this has been a challenging piece of work to complete as there has been a lot of extra added benefits to make the new project area work for everyone. The new project area has a new 'task list' which will now assist with issues needing to be addressed as part of a project. - Any Engineer can go into the 'task list' and create a task. A good example of this was when I came across an issue on the CAG project, I could easily create a new task for myself to fix a certain issue with the CAG plugin, assigning a priority, due date and description of the task.…

The position that I see myself taking up in the Theta Tau is Brotherhood Chair. The job of Brotherhood Chair ensures that the brothers of this fraternity can create and strengthen strong bonds of fraternal fellowship. This involves planning and organizing group events that are social, intimate, and fun. I would like to take up this position because in a way, by helping my brothers grow closer to each together, I can also form strong bonds with them. One of my biggest struggles this pledge process has been getting close and creating bonds with my pledge class, and it was the same way for my robotics team.…

For some students, choosing to attend college after high school is an easy decision. Some are expected by their families to continue into higher education post high school graduation. I know a few people that are so motivated to attend college that they already know for sure what they are going to major in before they were even freshmen in high school. For me, I was not falling into that category. College was something I did not consider throughout my time in high school.…
