It's important for the child to see if they can recognize themselves in a mirror. An example of that is handing the child a mirror and asking them ‘’Who do you see’’ or ‘’Do you see yourself in the mirror’’ even ‘’Can you tell me is that you’’? And making it fun to see if the child points their self out in a mirror. (haven't got the observations yet).Another observation I have seen for social/emotional is when the child will do something and they complete it their own, they'll get proud of themselves and know they can do it. I saw that at discovery she was playing a matching game, where would you have the children match different objects together on the card. Charlotte was over at discovery and she matched the shape that was on the card and was proud of herself and smiling, saying she wanted to do another like matching game. (don't have second observation yet). More for social/emotional includes says please, and thank you without being reminded (don't have observations of those yet). And ‘’separates from the parent in familiar surroundings, (don't have observations
