On the afternoon of Monday, August 26th my boyfriend Joe and I met for lunch while he was on break from work. We decided on a restaurant in Pacific Place mall called Mexico Cantina where we frequent often. We approached the entrance but he stopped then turned around and told me we needed to go somewhere else. I was confused about the sudden change of plans until I looked over and saw Brigette and a group of other females sitting at a table next to the railing that overlooks the restaurant and the mall. Brigette and her group were all watching us and they looked as if they were laughing. I was irritated that just because she was there we had to leave but Joe assured me that we were doing the right thing because she would act this way the whole time we were there. Joe and I continued to walk to another restaurant across the hall and it was difficult to ignore the group of women watching us as we walked on. Joe told me to ignore the behavior but I told him to look because I wanted him to see how childish they were acting. I told him I felt like I was back in high school. About 45 minutes later, we were leaving the …show more content…
I have read Brigette’s declaration and I am positive Joe is not “following” or “Stalking” her. She describes behavior that I have never witnessed, nor could ever imagine from Joe. She stated that he once grabbed her wrist and pulled her across the street. This was difficult for me to read because I have never experienced or observed such behavior and I do not believe it is true. She stated that she feels threatened by him and she is scared of him but her behavior that I witnessed did not show any signs of fright, it looked as if it was quite opposite from that. Brigette’s statement also claims that she “knows” he has weapons and multiple guns. At no time throughout our relationship have I ever seen him in possession with a

The prologue starts off with the history of how the study of psychology developed. I felt the beginning of the prologue was very dry, there was a lot of information about the historically becoming of psychology. The beginning of the prologue was mainly about the scientist and how it evolved over the years. I believe the most important section in prologue was about the Psychology’s Perspectives, and the Psychology’s…

It is generally acknowledged that schizophrenia has an etiology which is biological. In any case, the movement towards this assertion is still under study, and the etiology of schizophrenia has been the subject of long discussions over the past years. The level headed discussion has been part between the individuals who propose psychodynamic etiology and those that hypothesize biological etiology to schizophrenia. For proponents for psychodynamic origin to schizophrenia, non-natural variables, for example, family connection and upsetting life occasions have been proposed to be part of the reasons that one could acquire schizophrenia. Be that as it may, these hypotheses have gotten minimal experimental/evidence support.…

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM5) lists symptoms one could encounter when a traumatic event has occurred or is occurring in their life. The exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence is the first step in recognizing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in a person. DSM5 discusses the feelings that are a result of trauma—terror, helplessness, and horror. However, there are many factors that delineate PTSD; the DSM5 lists them into four clusters: B-Intrusion/Re-experiencing; C-Avoidance; D- Negative alterations in cognition and mood; and E-Arousal. The first criteria that must take place in order to truly pathologize PTSD is the traumatic event that an individual is exposed to before…
