Aubree has shown me how I am supposed to react and she has also shown me how children think and how they may come across to other children. Since that day, Aubree shares and does everything in a sweet and calm manner.
Tanner (age 4)
Tanner is the new student and he is very shy and quiet. He began coming to our preschool about a week ago. Tanner hasn’t yet learned how to be open with all of the children. Although he talks to the adults, he doesn’t really say much. I decided to do something to help him open up a little more. I decided to play a game where all of the children stand up and tell us a little about themselves. Tanner stood up and looked and the floor immediately. He began to speak very softly and tell everyone a little about himself. After he went his turn, it was Roberts turn. Robert and Tanner have so much in common and they didn’t even know it. After the activity Robert walked over to Tanner and they instantly became friends. I was very pleased with my activity. Not only did Robert and Tanner become friends, but tanner also lost his bashfulness and opened up to the whole room. If I wouldn’t have done this project, he would have never opened up to anyone in the room. I am so glad I could help him overcome his fears and talk to others about the things he
