The support services and supplementary aids help the disabled studeents to achieve their annual goals and short-term benchmarks. Personnel support such as para-educators and adapted PE teachers may be deployed to provide additonal help during PE lessons. Modified e quipment could be used to provide students with more experiences of success.
5. Students with disability are strongly encouraged to participate in a regular classroom with their abled peers. The IEP team needs to explain to what extent an individual with disabilities, is able to participate in a regular PE program.
6. To enable individuals to achieve the educational goals, specialised instructions and alternative assessment accommodations should be included in IEP. In cases whereby the individual could not be assessed using standardised testing, the IEP team has to specify the reason for non-participation and why an alternative assessment is more appropraite for the individual.
7. Details on modifications and the schedule of services and review should be included. The frequency, type and duration of the services and when an individual’s progress will be reviewed should also be made known in the
