I am using the objection card because I disagree with part of your post. Where you say that since David isn’t facing any consequences he will feel like he can drive home drunk again when he finds him self in the same situation again. For the reason that after David almost hit the boy he realize how close he was to hurting someone by deciding to drive home drunk and he made a vow to never do it again. With John he was not lucky enough that time for the boy to hear the car come and to jump out of the way. But I am sure if it was the other way around and he had the same outcome has David he would have been shocking up to and be to scared to drink and drive
