Many of them are becoming independent for the first time, are focusing on school and partying, and don’t consider the consequences of unhealthy eating. However, they are the most likely of all age groups to fix this obesity epidemic by enforcing rules and regulations. They will have the most influence on their own generation and the future generations by first noticing the problems of society, and fixing people’s habits such as: the personal responsibility, the education kids and young adults receive about food, the education about different health programs, and the way the government regulates junk food to the benefit of the public.

The change itself began after the 1970s, when society became more technologically dependent and many changes affected the way people ate, the food people ate, the way people exercised, how much people exercised, and the way family communicated. For instance, in the 1985, Coca Cola changed the main ingredient of sugar to processed corn syrup, which greatly affected the consumption and production of soda.
