Obesity in Children has become a major health problem in the UK. It refers to a medical problem, which is affected by unhealthy eating, dieting, losing or gaining weight and some medical conditions can increase a child`s appetite. Hormones disorders and some medications will lead to the increase of child obesity (Medline Plus, 2016). Another factor of child obesity is attaching their time to the screen by playing computer games, spending hours watching TV and using smartphones all the time without any physical activities, they will likely gain weight and this will lead to a child becoming obese.

We should avoid giving our kids foods that are high in fat and salt, which can cause high blood pressure and cholesterol levels to rise. making homemade foods for our children, having low fat milk, cutting back on sweets, encourage them to eat more vegetables and fruit, give them wholegrain crackers for snacks and implement exercising habits, provide guidance and involve them in making positive choices, which will last them a healthy lifetime. We should also be a role model for our kids, have fun and fitness together, taking walks together after dinner (Momastic Health, 2015).
Again, to ensure or help obese kids lose weight and become healthier, confident and energetic is by limiting screen time and placing it with physical activities, changing eating habits of obese children can also play a vital role in eradicating child obesity in the UK. We must create strategies to prevent child obesity, by avoiding boredoms in kids and educate them on the need to stay healthy in supporting healthy eating (Health Line, 2016). We should create awareness for the kids by motivating them to understand the consequences in eating unhealthy foods, the implications of eating unbalanced diet as in creating a healthy relationship with food (Monson. N, 2016).
To maintain and achieve a country free of child obesity, we must create awareness on the social economic factors and the need to have balanced diet
