As an article also said, the training for nurses should include necessary information about obesity and weight management and ways and tools how to teach patients to control their weight. Also the nurse should be able to identify the individual readiness for changes and provide adequate training and support for those people. As far as we know, obesity affects all aspects of the person’s life in many ways. It brings not only health complications such as heart diseases, diabetes and other conditions, but also causes low self-esteem and depressions. The main reason of obesity, besides diet and lifestyle, is lack of education. People do not promote good health habits among their families and do not have a lot of information about healthy nutrition and balanced eating. They also are not aware of health risks of obesity. That is why nurses should be involved in the process of education patients and providing appropriate interventions for them. Also the nurse should encourage patients on her own example and tell about her own experience regarding weight management. As a part of nursing intervention, the nurse may recommend the patient to visit a nutrition specialist to seek additional and individualized
