States of America. Consequences of obesity have a very bad influence on our everyday lives and make people difficult to live. Obesity becomes one of the widespread problems in the world which are very difficult to prevent. Moreover, it is the reason why people are suffering from many diseases. Generally speaking, obesity is a chronic condition which is very similar to high blood pressure. Excessive consumption of fast food and high-fat food can change the person's behavior that leads to obesity to lots of people. Fast food weakens people's self-control that also may lead to overeating. The World Health Organization (WHO) proved that "there are approximately 10% of the adult population of the planet suffers from obesity. At least 2.8 million people die every year because of overweight or obesity, as they are a risk factor for a range of chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer". Unhealthy diets also have a negative influence on our lives. An unhealthy diet not only adds extra weight to people but also suppresses their natural desire to eat healthy food. Unfortunately, people are becoming more and more difficult to control their appetite. They become addicted eating junk and high-fat food and cannot quickly drop this bad habit.
Secondly, television and social media encourage people to try different unhealthy food by just advertising them. When people are immersed in social networks, they do not concentrate on the food and beverages they consume and cannot endure the hunger of the day and easily gain excess weight. Finally, one of the most important factors that lead to the development of obesity is low physical activity. Lack of physical exercises is mainly causing people to gain extra weight. Very often, more or less healthy food intake becomes unnecessary if people do not make any physical activities. If the calories consumed by the body during the physical activities are not burned, they might turn into a body fat. Therefore, the less we move, the more fat we gain into our bodies.
Unfortunately, in today's society more and more people are immersed in sedentary work such as dentistry, office works and others. One example is my uncle. He is working in a sedentary work for 20 years. Because of his work, he does not move a lot or make any physical exercises.
Therefore, he gained overweight. Unfortunately, today, he suffers from a few diseases. We all should do more physical exercises because they are helping us control our bodies weight
