Comparison of Obama and Kamehameha

Both King Kamehameha and President Barack Obama were excellent and effective leaders. Kamehameha was the first ruler of all the Hawaiian Islands, and he ruled well. President Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United States of America, and he leads the states well too. Both of these leaders worked amazingly hard, with much persistence, to get where they did.
Kamehameha and Barack Obama were effective leaders because they were hard workers, kind people, and accepted help. The two leaders were similar in many good ways. One characteristic that they both had was persistence. Both started small, neither that insignificant, and both worked their way up to the top. Kamehameha killed all of his rivals and took over their lands, while Obama, taking a more peaceful approach, told speeches. Kamehameha’s fight to power was a matter of life and death. To make his way to the top, he had to kill all above him. Barack Obama only had to tell speeches and get people to vote for him. There was no danger or death involved. Another difference they had was that Kamehameha inspired his power by force and Obama did not. Based on Kamehameha’s cruel punishments, often having to do with death and pain, his subjects knew to be wary of his actions. Obama’s discipline is the typical jail time, not usually violence. Still, people know that they should be cautious of their activities, for they might face punishment(s). Also, Kamehameha was able to make any kapu he wanted. The new kapu would not have to go through different people and nobody else would make any kapu. Obama can make a law, but it will have to be agreed with by the
