I decided to write about how E-business works In an Italian company names of OMVL which works under a huge company called Westport innovation company and I got a chance to interview the head of their IT system and see how they work with information technology not only within their company but also how they interact with their costumers on the internet. This topic relates to me because I got a chance to work in this company and get training in the marketing area and see how information systems work in the marketing area and also how IT systems work.

The information system used in OMVL are similar to many Information system used in popular brands such as Walmart, , Gucci and even Boeing. I will name 3 main Info systems used in this company and what are the advantages of having it for the company. The most important Info system OMVL uses is the costumer relationship management system in which is called CRM. The CRM tracks the involvement of the costumers in the market and shows exactly when and what month the sales were high. This Target system allows the managers to see their annual sales and see on the graph how well their marketing manager and also the whole team

When I talked to one of the R&D engineers he gave a really good example, Lorenzo said if I ask my boss I need 200 thousand euros he would be furious because he would say why you didn’t mention this price earlier so he could prepare for it, Lorenzo said having a BIS helps the R&D team predict not only how much money they need for their research but also they could have a pretty good image on how much sales they will have in the future.
