The careers in job zones four and five that I am interested in would be accountant, compensation, benefits, job analysis specialist, human resource specialist, and judicial law clerk.
My top three choices would be accountant, executive administrative assistant and a human resource specialist which show me that I must broaden my interests. Since two of these positions do not require a degree and do not pay well. Many of these careers do peak my interest but I would have to learn more about them to determine if they would be a good fit for me. I need to take the job outlook, salary, benefits, and work-life experience into consideration when choosing a career, as I do not want all my schooling to go to waste. One of the main reasons I am pursing a bachelor’s degree is to better my future and in doing so I must first broaden my interests and skill set according to the skills that employers are looking for. According to Forbes, these skills include the ability to work on a team, make decisions, solve problems, communication skills, the ability to analyze quantitative data, technical skills, selling skills and proficiency with computer software programs. I need to use my time here at Texas State wisely to build up my communication, teamwork, selling, marketing and technical
