it. In his argument with jones he had paid no attention to the white scenery around him that was slowly filling up with black profiles. Over a hundred of them had surrounded Underhill, his children and jones. They all possessed hungry eyes, eyes of vampires.
Jones grinned, and as he did the figures came closer, watching as Underhill spun around to take in the view. “You didn’t think I spent all that time watching your house because I wanted proof?” he scoffed, “No. I spent my time seeking contact with Victoria’s minions, who are before you now. They have agreed to take you on, to seek revenge for their lady, as I will avenge my son.”
“If you know what’s good for you Jones. You’ll turn around and take this army with you.” Underhill warned.

Gnashing his teeth and wriggling.
“Clement do make yourself useful and come here.” Jones said as only one vampire was required to drag his body up from the snow and place him a few feet in front of Underhill.
“Now. In the time I snooped about your house I learned more than I ever could have hoped. First, let us test a little thing I learned from your son!” he cried out in glee and took out a single clove of garlic from his coat pocket.

The entire community in Springfield, Michigan were alarmed last Sunday when the power went out for 24 hours. This has now been revealed to have been caused by none other than Jimmy T. In Timothy O'Brien's novel, The Things They Conveyed, various quick topics are sent by the creator. One topic specifically intrigues me the most; the branch of knowledge is the way individuals handle their feelings through the evasion then again bending of reality. In particular, all through the novel various characters react to the candidly charged substances they are stood up to with in one of two noteworthy ways, bending or idealism. This example, appeared all through the novel, studies one way in which people approach the unpleasant feelings they convey with them for the duration of their life. To bolster this postulation I will examine a number of character's reactions to passionate stressors and think about them against…

In my own opinion I believe that the Other Wes Moore has gone past the point of no return when he shoots Ray and gets arrested. “Wes and his friend traded shots and finally heard Ray scream as he fell behind a black Toyota just fifty feet from his house. Wes and his friend stopped running. They saw no movement and figured the job was done.” (Wes Moore 105) Wes stared making many mistakes as a young boy and has little chances of going back and fixing his life.…

Delia Jones is the antagonist of this short story. She is an independent, very hard-working, married, African American woman residing in South Florida. Delia is married to a man named Sykes who does not work and has never worked, so Delia is essentially the bread-winner of this small household. She endures long days, and sometimes even longer nights washing the clothing of the more fortunate citizens of her town. Delia is a ‘wash-woman’, yet those countless hours washing other people’s clothes is heaven compared to enduring any amount of time she has to spend with her husband.…

The sound of footsteps going down the creaky wooden staircase echoed through the strangely silent house of the Tristessens. Between the walls, pestilence and death hung in the air like a thick smog, choking everyone inside. The only disturbance to the stagnant, silent atmosphere was the occasional cough rattling through the lungs of the man, Galen, who seemed much older than he was, and his children moving about the house to care for him. “Jackson, could you please get me the water? Bring it up here--quickly” Jillian called to her brother in a voice barely louder than a whisper.…

Grey. The walls of the Tower were all a very monotonous, dull grey. The particular wall I was staring at had a class symbol on it, albeit not attuning to my own. The symbols were mentally etched into every class, so having them painted on the walls of our home reminded us of the pride we carry. But as of late, I can’t say there has been much self-pride for me to bathe in.…

To fully understand ones life in a certain time frame, it is important to get all the details about the daily life of an individual. In this case the diary of George Stephen Jones gives the reader an understanding about what young people did with their leisure time. As read in the diary, drinking tea seems to be a popular way to unwind. “Miss Honorine spent the afternoon here & took tea with us” (42). Having tea can be a form of being social and using up leisure time by relaxing with tea and treats among friends.…

I decided that despite the embarrassing situation with Atticus it would just be best to act as normal as possible. I knew it would be best to participate in the missionary circle as usual. Afterwards we all sat around the dining room, which needed some work, but never the less we went on. Earlier I asked Jean Louise to join us in hopes that, just like me, she would grow up to be a proper lady. There was also the idea that if she was there, the ladies would avoid the topic of the Robinson case.…
