Even though he was acquitted, countless people to this day still believe that Orenthal James Simpson murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in cold blood, on the night of June 12, 1994. There has been a great deal of debate over this case for years. The real question is; did he or did he not commit the murder? In the eyes of the twelve jurors on the case, he was found not guilty, but in the eyes of majority of the United States he is guilty. O.J. Simpson killed his ex-wife and Ronald Goldman, but was never found guilty of their murder for flaws in the evidence that was collected. The prosecution decided to attempt to prove that the defendant was guilty in a variety of ways. One way that they attempted to do this was by bringing in expert witnesses that could testify on how Nicole and Ron could have actually been killed (Rice 46). The prosecution also showed evidence that Orenthal James Simpson’s blood had been found at the crime scene along with bloody footprints that were his size, and with the bloody glove that was found at his residence (Rice 52). In order to provide more evidence against O.J, the prosecution asked his to try on the bloody gloves that were found at the scenes (Rice 78). What they didn’t know was that this action would actually backfire on their prosecution of O.J. This action backfired because when O.J. tried on the gloves, he claimed that they did not fit (Rice 78).
