People give things all the time. It doesn't matter how big or expensive it is. It matters why you gave it to them. In O. Henrey's short "The Gift of the Magi," the main character(s) Jim and Della demonstrated love for another by selling their most prized possessions to to give gifts to each other; likewise I also gave a gift that was thoughtful, they needed it, and it made me feel good. Even though they did not ask for it, I still gave it to them. The person that I gave the gift to never asked for it. I saw they needed it. so I got it for them.
