LIST THE PRINCIPLES OF CHEMOTHERAPEAUTIC RESISTANCE
Introduction:
PRINCIPLE : Principle is an essential factors or elements that may have impact on the survival mechanism, which may either be from environment or the person taking the drugs or factor participating may engineer drug resistance.
RESISTANCE: It is reduction in drug's effectiveness in which the drug may be fake , adulterated or substandard .Resistance is also the ability of microbes to resist toxic effects of drugs growth.
It is commonly believed that therapy resistance is the result of a selection during therapy

Part B Q1. The normal dose of paracetamol is very safe to use and it is not over 4g per 24 hours; however, when the patient take more than 6g per 24 hours of paracetamol, the liver necrosis will happen within 10 to 12 hours and liver damage may occur within 24 to 48 hours. For the metabolism, most of the paracetamol is converted to nontoxic metabolites by the phase II conjugation of glucuronide and sulfate and a small amount of paracetamol is oxidized by the Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes in the phase I metabolism. In this phase, CYP1A2 and CYP2E1 enzymes convert paracetamol to N-acetyl-p-benzoquinoneimine (NAPBQI) which is highly toxic substances.…

What is Nandrolone Decanoate?Nandrolone Decanoate is one of the most widely used anabolic steroids. Its popularity is due to the simple fact that it exhibits many very favorable properties. Structurally nandrolone is very similar to testosterone, although it lacks a carbon atom at the 19th position (hence its other name 19-nortestosterone). The resulting structure is a steroid that exhibits much weaker androgenic properties than testosterone. Of primary interest is the fact that nandrolone will not break down to a more potent metabolite in androgen target tissues.…

Trimidox (hydrochloride) is a specific ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor [1][2][3]. Ribonucleotide reductase is the rate-limiting enzyme for de novo DNA synthesis. This enzyme is linked with proliferation and malignant transformation, and is a common target for cancer chemotherapy [1][2]. Trimidox (hydrochloride) is a specific ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor. Trimidox inhibited the activity of ribonucleotide reductase in extracts of L1210 cells with IC50 value of 5 μM. Trimidox was cytotoxic to L1210 cells with IC50 value of 7.5 μM [3].…

Viruses are all around us in this world. They all vary in size, shape, genomic contents, and a variety of other characteristics. Some viruses are more deadly than other viruses and some viruses are very uncommon. There are some odd viruses that can cause a disease; be fought off by the immune system, but instead of dying retreat back into the host and lie dormant until another time. A common example of this type of virus is the Varicella Zoster virus.…

    A) The infection process of a vertebrate virus consists of 6 stages. Provide the name for each stage and provide details of the events that take place at each stage using Influenza virus A as the model. The 6 stages consist of: Attachment, Penetration, Uncoating, Biosynthesis, Assembly, and Release. Attachment is when the virus attaches or “locks” itself onto an acceptable cell. This occurs because a protein receptor is recognized by the virus and the virus attaches to the cell.…

Integrase and other cofactors act to RNA virus to fuse with the cell DNA hospedadora4 through transcription in the genome of the cell harboring the virus. Thus, the cell is infected by the virus. After this process, lentiviruses react one of two ways: it can happen that the dormant virus from the infected cell while still in office, or that the virus begins to replicate actively and release virions capable of infecting other cells. The retrovirus HIV shares with the essential characteristics of that family. The virion contains genetic information in the form of ribonucleic acid (RNA), protected by a membrane envelope.…

Zika Virus Virus Virus is an infection that causes diverse of effects in the immune system and other segments of the body. The virus also can duplicate in the living cells of hosts. An infection molecule is only a piece of DNA in a defensive coat. The infection interacts with a cell, connects itself to the cell divider and infuses its DNA (and maybe a couple of compounds) into the cell. The DNA utilizes the apparatus inside the living cell to duplicate new infection particles.…
