Traditionally, nutrition programs were targeted to the indigent and poor populations in developing countries. Many of today 's Americans are malnourished also, but they are inundated with unhealthy foods and require a multidisciplinary approach to nutrition education. What would be the three most important points to include in a public nutrition program? Provide current literature to support your answer and include two nutritional education community resources.

Healthy food is the most real and effective nutrition that can help in preventive health care. Nutrition is the intake of food, which is measured in virtually to the body’s nutritional requirements. Good nutrition is a suitable, well balanced diet combined with consistent physical activity which is the foundation of good health. Poor or bad nutrition can lead to reduced immunity, amplified vulnerability to disease, weakened physical and mental growth, and reduced efficiency (World Health Organization, 2016). In our society today, obesity is more prevalent among the adult in the United State (U.S.), and this a serious problem in our society. Obesity leads to so many diseases in our society which needed prompt and immediate intervention. According to Journal of American Medicine (JAMA, 2014) more than one-third (34.9% or 78.6 million) of U.S. adults are obese and 17% of youth in the United States are obese, though this prevalence has remained constant between 2003-2004 and 2009-2010.
