Shawn, I really like your example of how nurture affects the characteristics of a person. In the example of your friend who lives in northern China you showed how being raised by women can cause a male to have some feministic traits and does not necessarily make them gay. I think that the American ideal that men with feministic traits are gay can in some cases make men that have these traits gay.
