The Mann-Whitney U test presented a significant finding. While nursing students ranked having 52.3% above-average stress and 17.6% tremendous stress, non-nursing students graded no stress and tremendous stress at 6.9%. In all, nursing students not only reported having more stress but also stress-related issues and illnesses such as migraines, upper respiratory tract infections, and sleep disturbances.
