Nursing started from a Christian world view. “Worldview governs our day to day way of living” (Shelly and Miller, 2006). World view involves the mind, a commitment, and a matter of the soul.

What is the Nature of the World? The universe is created by God (Col., 1:15-17). The world was created out of nothing. Even if the world around us is chaotic, or orderly, God knows what to do. God is able to work miracles which override the normal operation of cause and effect in the world.

The disadvantages are that the devil is more interested to go after the Christians, (Eph, 6:12) “We must wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with the spiritual forces of wickedness.” Christians want to set a high standard so that. Christians care about what others think about them. (1 Peter, 1:16) “The Lord expects us to be holy as He is holy.” Christianity is from God. God is able to strengthen us with the Gospel and preaching of Jesus Christ. Faith can also strengthen the Christians. Physicians, nurses, chaplains, and others who come in contact with patients should have a wide range on the knowledge on how to care for people of a different faith. Sikh and Christians have some similarities and differences when it comes to health care. Sikh receive or accept medical treatment just like Christians. They believe in extended family, just as Christians do. If any sensitive matter is going to be discussed in the presence of the family, the patient should be asked.

God, the father, allowed only one healing ministry, which is His son. Jesus heals through us. “He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more” (Heb, 13:8). We have to join God’s ministry without starting our own. God loves his children, and wants them healed. The reason for his healing is love. Jesus loves us and he died on the cross because during the Resurrection, all our sicknesses would be gone. The Christians kneel or prostrate as sign respect for God.
