This can be a difficult conversation for both parties, but effective change cannot be made without a collaborative effort. I would expect others to give new policies and procedures an honest effort. As the old saying goes, no one likes change, and not all interventions will be successful. However, an assessment of a new policy or procedure is only accurate if the data is sufficient. I would evaluate others according to these expectations based on compliance ratings of new policies. If the intervention was within the electronic medical record, it would be easy to evaluate their adherence by checking their charting. In order to receive everyone’s feedback regarding a new policy or procedure, I would sent out a survey. The results would be anonymous in order to encourage honest answers, but there are several systems available, such as REDCap, which would show whose surveys were outstanding in order to achieve 100%
