Nursing Role Paper

I exclusively agree with you. In today society, nurses continue to manage care from several providers, supervise patient caseloads that require an urgent care, and assisting them to adapt better out of the hospital into their home settings (Johnson, 2015.). According to wood, nurses are “working as” health coaches” and in other ways to prevent illness and promote wellness (2015).” In other to successfully achieve this role, providing continuous educations for nurses at a more affordable cost or free workshop to better advance their knowledge and make them more efficient in delivering more equitable health care, while targeting poorer and rural populations is important. Among other roles of nurses, I have always believed that the most important nursing role is a patient advocator. An advocator is defined as “supporter, believer, sponsor, promoter, campaigner, backer, or spokesperson” (NPSF, 2017.) These attributes are characteristics of a well-defined nurse because they effectively advocate for patients and their families to ascertain that best quality of care is provided while under their care as well as after discharge into the community. Nurses continues to work beyond the bedside care. they work as liaison in clinics, coalitions, community centers, correctional facilities, daycare centers, schools, health depts., shelters and they participated enormously in community emergency …show more content…
