As an advance practice nurse to review and critique literatures I use certain strategies. I would consider that is it’s about a question that I have an interest in or it can be used in my practice? With an understanding that an informative title conveys the article’s key concepts, methods, and variable will look for the title and make sure does it accurately describe the article or not. When comes to the abstract, meant for representative of the article or no. Since The abstract provides a brief overview of the purpose of the study, research questions, methods, results, and conclusions, helps us to decide the article needs to read. A good introduction provides the basis for the article. It includes a statement of the problem, a rationale for the study, and the research questions. …show more content…
When a theoretical framework is used, it should inform the study and provide a rationale. The concepts of the theoretical framework should relate to the topic and serve as a basis for interpreting the results. If so consider a theoretical framework described or not. Publication dates are important most literature reviews include articles published within the last 3 to 5 years and literature review needs to be relevant to the study and
