As a child, I had always wanted to work as a flight attendant. However, in the late 1980s, an event occurred that changed my perception forever. My brother died due the negligence of some nurses. I was always close to my brother; we were the best of friends. My brother died because the nurses who were on duty at the time he was admitted forgot the right dose of medicine prescribed by the doctor. My family and I were traumatized and that was the turning point in my life. From that day I vowed to make sure no one’s family experienced the heartache we were forced to go through. This is why I decided to move to America and study nursing. My goal after I complete the nursing program would be to serve those around me in an area where professionals
