This course, NUR 7300, as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student, I was able to understand the significance in the DNP curriculum. Nursing is a practice-based profession, and nursing student must acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop their practical competence. Nursing students become stressed by various factors such as clinical environment, academic challenges, and family socio-economic concerns (Arkan, et al., 2017). The article, Building the Evidence Base for Population Interventions: Barriers and Opportunities, is intended to advance the development of the evidence in the field of nursing with a practical guide for using, reviewing and adding to the existing evidence base in various settings . It was discussed that the most important step in the evidence journey, is how to measure and report on the community context in a routine and systematic way. Another consideration is the integration of healthy design of population –level interventions at all levels. Evidenced Based Practice enables us to meet the clinical experience with up to date research and enrich our clinical training ( Lifsey, 2015).
