Today, nursing profession is the largest division in the health care setting. Nurses play vital role in health care system such as direct patient care by caring, advocating, and teaching. Nursing field has been growing so rapidly in health care system whereas nurses need to continue advance her educations and practice. The Institute of Medicine Report gives more information based on research about growing nursing profession. Researchers have been provided essential tools and ideas about how to change the nursing profession. The purpose of writing this paper is about highlighting the area of advancing the nursing educations, nursing practice, and leadership role, so the nursing future can improve. Education plays vital role in nursing profession today. According to the 2010 Affordable Care Act, health care professional needs to provide safe, quality, patient centered, and affordable care to the patients. For doing that, they require to nurses to have advance degree of level and skills to improve their education. Nursed needs to achieve necessary competencies which include research, leadership, health policy, evidence based practice, teamwork, and collaboration.
