My preceptor started out the day by explaining the objective for the day. We discuss medication in debt. Explaining the do’s, don’t, the right of medication, nurses’ role and routes. After that, my preceptor gathers some patients so that we were able to administer medication to those that had to get their medication about 8am.
We all worked together with our preceptor to get the medications ready for the patients, we carefully went through all the prescription. My patient was one of the last to get his medication. When I arrived at his bed side I realized he was restrained and I would have to feed him. I felt comfortable with the task at hand. I administrated the medication well with my preceptor telling me what and how to do it. In the beginning
