I was told to take this path as it would bring us a good life because nurses can earn a considerable amount of money annually. Hence, when I graduated high school in 2009, I did go to a university in the Philippines that offered a nursing program. At first, I thought that it was not for me because it was all about science, and I thought it was going to be difficult. As I was looking for answers to how I am going to set my goals, I asked myself, “What is my purpose?” “What is that purpose that makes me strive more to reach my goals?” Those questions made me go back to the reason why I wanted to take a nursing program and that is to save lives. I want to be able to provide care to the people who are in need of medical attention. I want to be able to treat them and make them feel better with the help of my skills and knowledge. When I finish this degree, this will lead me to my career goal to practice as a nurse which will serve the purpose to save
