The prestige of USC's College of Nursing primarily drew my attention to the university. I believe this is the university that will mold me into me being the best pediatric nurse I can be. I am currently enrolled in Anatomy Honors and I've joined HOSA to gain more comprehension of future curriculum at USC and expertise in nursing. I also feel as if I've cemented my dedication to the medical field in my academic performance in Health Science and Medical Terminology. After earning my Masters of Science in Nursing and gaining occupational experience, I wish to devote myself to international humanitarian efforts. I also believe this is the university that is bet at providing career opportunities after I attain my degree. I want to leave a legacy

I clearly remember the day I found my father lying on the sidewalk as he suffered from a stroke. I was barely a teenager when my father became ill. My family spent countless hours in the hospital, nursing home, and various doctors ' offices trying to learn what had happened to this man who was our pillar of strength. I recall how the nurses became his greatest advocate and always voiced their concern for him. In those moments I realized I had found my calling in the field of nursing.…

My desire to do adult nursing first came when I started working in a care home, looking after vulnerable adults who had dementia and other challenging health problems. Doing this I enjoyed getting to know the residents and their individual needs, this helped me to develop relationships with them and also helped me leave there with a smile on my face knowing that I have made the smallest impact in their lives. Working in a care home has helped me learn valuable skills such as, care planning; communicate with external and internal agencies and the art of active listening, which has helped me gain confidence to communicate with service users and their families While working as a part time carer I have been studying on the BTEC extended diploma in Health and Social Care…

My life is rather very complicated. Of course, I know that I’m not the only one that lives like this, and that other people may have it much worse than I do. Whether its struggle with bills or all together as a family, I still try to do the very best I can. Although we have troubles, I don’t express my emotions of that matter, but rather be who I am, which is being happy and making every day possible. I’ve done community services with my church like going to nursing homes and feeding the people at the hospitality center.…

Two years ago, I was writing a Statement of Purpose for my application to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program with a concentration in Healthcare Administration, revealing my failures, and most significantly, that I felt I lost my passion and didn’t know where to start. I also conceded that I was relatively unaware of the field of public administration (PA). Little did I know, examining PA theories would enable me to connect the final dots in the big picture of my life, where I came from, who I’d come to be, what choices I’d made, the relationships I nurtured, and my dreams and goals for the future. Although confidence came slowly and awkwardly, I discovered my desire to contribute to the advancement of public health policies.…

Nurses are the backbones of any clinic or hospital sites. They provide health care in the best of their ability to help their patients but also be there for them as a person. Compassion and tolerance is key to being a nurse. There is no point of caring for other human beings especially those who are ill, if you can not be CARING. Nurses are just as important as any physician, just because they didn't earn a PhD, nurses are still just as helpful as any doctor in the medical field.…

Cumulatively, my life experiences and challenges have helped me develop good nurturing instincts and an ability to recognize others in need of help. At the same time, I have also developed an intense intellectual curiosity about the human mind and the way that trauma alters the perspective of the individual. I realize that to a large extent, understanding those processes has helped me come to terms with some of my experiences better than I could have without that conceptual understanding. Those personal challenges together with my professional psychiatric nursing experience have contributed to my interest in advanced education. After careful thought, I have drawn the conclusion that the obvious career direction for which I am best suited, by nature and by prior undergraduate…
