With the expanding desire to understand the operational structure of a developed hospital, I volunteered for a summer internship with HealthCare Global Enterprises, Ltd., located in Bangalore, India. Interning for HCG Hospitals opened my eyes to how efficient logistic structures directly affect the capability to treat patients smoothly. I was able to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients by assisting children with any post-treatment therapies, ensuring timely intake of medicine, assisting with operations as needed at the medical center, and shadowing oncologists and nurse practitioners. This challenging experience taught me valuable organizational and leadership skills, and again reinforced my passion for patient
