Nursing Personal Statement

Growing up in a generation where the technology used in healthcare is on the increase but the number of qualified nurses and doctors are on the decrease makes for a difficult situation when it comes to university application as over 51240 people in the UK are completing their first degree in subjects allied to medicine which includes nursing.The need for determination and providing care is why I was initially drawn to the field of nursing and I was also inspired by the charity Macmillan to pursue career in helping in palliative care and adult nursing. I am highly aware of the fact that nurses require more than a deep aspiration to care for others if they are to function as a professional but my natural determination and through my training with Women’s Aid I have grown to be able to adjust myself to every situation and be able to handle and talk about sensitive subjects with people while also learning to care for my own mental and emotional health too, which is a key aspect in the workplace and will definitely assist me during my training as a nurse.In my current job as Customer Advisor, I have been intrusted to care for customers’ on-going piercing and jewellery needs for the past 2
