Nursing Mission Statement Analysis

The school’s mission statement thus places a mandate on me to achieve this and this will in turn makes me successful and outstanding in my future career as a nurse.
Productive work to an ordinary self-centered man probably means the acquisition of wealth for personal satisfaction and nothing else. The UC mission statement looks at this from another angle that gives it a deeper meaning. It does also involve a positive impact of the work on the graduate’s community and the world (University of Charleston, 2015, p.11).
I have chosen nursing as a career not because of it been seen as a lucrative career or the ready availability of job after being licensed as some think but because I see it as an opportunity to instill hopes into the hopeless. I am being guided by my school’s mission statement to put smiles on patients and relatives faces even when they are being confronted with medical diagnosis that runs contrary to their expectations. When I succeed in making a family and in turn a community happy, I am doing a more productive work.

Infrastructural development in my community was purely through community effort which I was a part of. I am also impressed by the way the West Virginians supported one another during the last devastating flood incident, this built more zeal in me to become involved in community activities. I am a community volunteer for the United States/Virgin Island Poison services educating the children and elderlies on the dangers of poisonings and preventive measures against it. As a nurse, I will expand my horizon in this community involvement beyond educating people to giving first aid treatments in case of accidental poisonings in my
