Becoming an adult stops being fun after you turn 21, the next year you’ll be out of college and into the real world. But mostly, becoming an adult means being responsible. As we get older, change is inevitable, we become victims of the working class. Many of us have big dreams to be CEOs and CFOs and doctors and lawyers, but dreaming it and living it is different altogether. Not only do we have to manage our personal lives which might be hectic, taking care of your grandmother and a three-month-old baby, or even going through a divorce, regardless we have to draw a line that separates personal from professional.
As we enter the professional world, anything is possible, we have to be prepared to deal with whatever situation arise. Being an administrator of a nursing home is an exceptionally rewarding job but it can also stressful, taxing and extremely difficult. Not everyone is equipped to handle what is takes to be a successful administrator. Taking on this job means giving it 100% of your time, dedication and attention. Sick days, …show more content…
A huge chunk of my responsibility, however, is to my patients. It is my job to know each one of them and memorize their medical record in my head. A great difficult lie in separating my time and dedicating it to each and every patient. I start my day off with paperwork that takes up the entire morning, I take a stroll floor by floor at lunch to say hello to my residents and make sure that everything is okay. At the end of the day, not only do I have to worry about my residents but I also carry on my shoulders the responsibilities of my entire staff. They are me, they represent me and this facility and therefore we must all work together to ensure the goal is reached. My staff depends on me and I them, it is our job to our residents to keep them safe and cared
