Animals are usually an immediate happiness to most people. A very controversial topic is whether pets should be allowed to enter nursing homes. Various nursing homes in Canada and other countries have already adopted this characteristic. There is a good possibility that introducing pets to assisted living facilities will be a great thing. Pets are desperately needed in assisted living facilities in Canada because they calm patients by decreasing triglycerol levels and other hormones, the pets make residents happier due to interaction, and the animals themselves are given a second chance to live. When most people think of nursing homes or the patients inside, they often are haunted by the characteristics of the facilities themselves. People usually generalize the idea of rest homes to be boring, lonely, and indifferent. There are various reasons as to why people today think this way.
