Nursing Case Study Savanna

As you know, Savanna is a 23yo, primigravida, who recently transferred to our practice for obstetrical visits secondary to her desire for a hospital birth. Her pregnancy is complicated by hypothyroidism and maternal obesity. She presents for a BPP at 37 ½ weeks gestation today. The BPP is 8/8, normal amniotic fluid volume is noted, normal UA Doppler’s, and the fetus is in vertex presentation. Savanna reports that she is obtaining daily fetal movement counts. She reports only irregular mild uterine contractions at this time. It is noted that her recent GBS culture is negative, and she has already received her TDaP vaccine. Seasonal flu vaccine was encouraged again at today’s visit, but Savanna continues to decline that vaccine. She reports
