Similarly, in this case, Karen Thomas is an alcohol dependence, which is the political as well as personal problem (White, 1995). The patient lacks social support, has low income status, lives at senior home alone and lacks higher education; all these factors affected perception of her health condition, hospital and healthcare staff. She was never attempted by anyone to discuss her cultural perspective and educated on healthy practices to prevent from having frequent visit to hospital.
