Nursing was not my original plan in life because I have never really interacted with nurses. It was not until I was in college and started volunteering at the local hospital did I realize that nursing was an amazing career. It was during my senior year that I realized that nurses are the patients advocate, the one who is with the patient the most, the friend, and many times the last person they see at night. Once I discovered that nursing was what I wanted to do with my life, I began working at Strong Memorial Hospital. During my time there as a tech, I attended nursing seminars about wound care, under represented populations, trauma amongst other. I wanted to learn as much as I could about the field and even though I was yet to become a nurse;
