Nursing Career Research Paper

1. With so many options for majors and careers to choose from, Nursing is my dream job and it makes me excited to think I could have the honor of being a registered nurse one day. Nursing has been my goal for quite some time for a few reasons. Obviously there is the job demand and security, and while that is a great benefit of the job, it is not the only reason for my interest in it. I enjoy challenges, and being a Nurse would allow me to work in a fast paced environment where I could push myself everyday and know that I am working hard. I also love meeting new people, being a nurse would allow me to meet new patients daily and make a difference in their lives. I also think that my attitude and personality is the kind that would be welcome in the hospital. I have a very calm, composed nature. I do not gross out easily and I believe my steady disposition would be a useful asset in the hectic situations that will occur on the job. I have developed very good study habits to prepare for the program. Anatomy and Physiology 1+2 have made me push myself, and I have developed a study schedule to allow myself more than enough time to learn the material. Along with that, I have met other students that I have formed a study group with. We meet for an hour before every class and it has helped me immensely. We are all applying to the RN program and plan to continue our study sessions to help each other succeed. I also utilize resources on the internet such as additional articles or videos to help me understand topics that I find myself having trouble with, and I plan on continuing to do this through the Nursing program. Time is not an issue either, my boss is very understanding of my school needs - I only work on weekends but school will always take priority over my current job if I ever need to make
